"Pinch-punch, first day of the month and no returns" and all that!! I'm so glad that neither T nor D know about that saying...
I've found today a tad frustrating. It's the first day of Breast Cancer Awareness month - a subject very close to my heart - and so much else going on in the world and guess what makes headlines/the majority of first stories on the news? J u s t i n B i e b e r vomits! (note I have spaced that out so I'm not trolled all evening via search engines!) If just a tiny percentage of the people who tweeted and RTd regarding the vom-episode took some time to RT about cancer/special needs/Pats petition there'd be so much more awareness...rant over!
Our day:
After Friday's episode (where D got hit by another child a few times - over excitement about the dress-up day I think), she had a few anxieties about returning to school today. Coupled with the fact it was raining (for a change!), it was a long, drawn-out school run.
Fortunately when we got to school, the screen in Reception was showing pictures from sports day, so we watched those whilst waiting for her teacher, and she went off happily! Such a spectrum of emotions can be covered so quickly - we can go from anxiety to laughter in (it feels like) the blink of an eye - life is never dull!
She came out of class very happily at the end of the day too, laughing away. It makes such a difference to how the rest of the evening goes, if she's relaxed and happy.
And she has been....doing her reading, giving me plenty of cuddles. Really content D - good to see.
Of course, tomorrow may (and probably will) be completely different but it's never boring!
