It doesn't seem possible I've just typed 1st September in the title, but there you go..
The box lovingly crafted and carried around yesterday by D has been discarded, maybe it was too big/not soft enough or (more than likely) wouldn't fit in her little carry bag of goodies that go everywhere with her.
She put so much effort into painting and fashioning it yesterday, it's almost as if "it's finished, I'm done, let's move on to something else" and that she definitely has.
Hubbie and T came back from their friendly football match (they lost but it didn't seem to matter as it was a friendly and therefore stat-less for T) with the above art and crafts magazine for D. She gets very excited about the cover of a magazine, especially the free crafting gift but the contents pages don't get a look in, the "free" gift is always the focus.
D elected to build the horse and rider crafting set without looking at the instructions (just like her dad, lol) but I think she did a pretty good job:
The horse has been featured in a little picture book she's spent much of the afternoon compiling, this is progress for D because although it's mostly pictures, there are some words which she's written herself (writing is not her strong point and she gets very upset at the thought of "news" at school, so this is positive).
I hope this little bubble of positivity continues, she's back to school on Thursday, T is back on Wednesday, but if it "bursts" tomorrow then at least yesterday and today have been calm. Couldn't ask for anything more.
