D does badminton after-school club on Wednesdays, it gives T and I an hour together, which we don't normally get.
He bounced out of school this afternoon and looked really pleased to see me, which was lovely because he's not the most visually expressive little chap.
There was football chat all the way to the shops and then time for a drink and some cake, yum yum! T decided he wanted to use my ear worms with his ipad and he got into a right pickle trying to work out which way around etc. Normally that would frustrate him but today he giggled. It was an extremely tired D we collected, not only had she had badminton, but swimming earlier in the day and they'd gone to a museum this afternoon. Bunny had stayed behind from the trip after yesterday's escapades.
She was a bit fragile and rectified this by watching her favourite song quite a few times. "Firework" by Katie Perry. It seemed to calm her but didn't stop the occasional sparring between her and T, they seem to know exactly what sets the other off.
A busy day for both tomorrow, T is on a school trip to the museum that D went to today (!), he's slightly anxious about it because they all have to dress in character and D will be going to her favourite SN playground. Hopefully it will go better than T envisages and they both enjoy their day.
