Today's been a good day, T enjoyed his football session this morning (separate post below) albeit with some anxieties as to whether he'd have a place - luckily he did.
D's had an incredible growth spurt recently, I had her feet measured a month ago and we ordered in trainers for T and D in their respective sizes, they came in and seemed too small for D, she'd gone up another half size. Another pair ordered last week. We went in to collect them today and she's gone up another half size...in a week! I don't know whether it's shoddy measuring but we've always been able to trust Clarks - another pair now ordered. Luckily I hadn't paid for any of them and had arranged delivery to the store but it's a definite growth spurt.
She has her height measured every 3 months at the hospital and from today's results, she's 4cm taller since her appointment 2 months ago. Gulp. Luckily she is still able to fit into Gap children's clothes (just) but there will come a point when for both clothes and shoes she'll be classed as "adult" before she's in her teens or tweens at this rate.
T went off to his football tournament this afternoon so D and I have spent the afternoon splashing about in the pool, lots of exercise and bubble blowing with wands. Great outdoor fun with Mr Shark (see pic).
It's definitely been a good day, more of the same hopefully tomorrow even though we have a very early start.
